Systems Analyst/Technical Project manager, Los Altos, CA, 6 months

 

Skills:

 Strong Linux skills OEL 4 and 5, Red Hat 5.

·         VCP certification is a plus

·         Oracle experience is plus

 

Responsibilities:

·         Working on the implementation of powerpath and improving the time management of the system using NTP. Much of this will be managed in a central location via puppet

·         Develops Unit Test Plans to test programs. Ensures that standards and policies are adhered to.

·         Authors Technical Designs (TDs) that define how a functional design will be technically enabled.

·         Develops and maintains applications for business processes and systems.

·         Develops and unit tests application programs as specified in Technical Designs. Obtains code reviews from Senior Application Developer. Ensures that all programming standards and policies are adhered to.

·         Has a strong understanding of, and ensures adherence to, the IT processes and standards required.

·         Vast majority of implementation will be in a virtual environment ~99% except for Oracle RAC ,. ~close to 6000 VM's being managed. Storage is EMC SAN.
