SAS Analyst ( Dont Send Clinicals & Pharma Resumes)
Location: Austin, TX
Type of hire: 6+ months
Desired start date: 10/15
Skill-based competencies:
o Successful delivery of data mining endeavors (sampling, exploration, modification, modeling and assessment)
o Advanced practice in predictive and descriptive modeling algorithms (e.g. market basket analysis, decision trees, linear and logistic regression, partial least squares regression).
o Proficiency in data access, management and cleansing to make it easier to prepare data for analysis.
o Effective use of SQL on any platform
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o Experience with testing hypothesis
Technical skills:
o Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics or related field
o 5+ years in data analytics
o 3+ years experience in Business Intelligence
o 3+ years of SQL development experience and modeling tools such as SAS

Job Roles / Responsibilities:
This position will interface with the Enterprise Data Warehouse team, Business Intelligence team and Senior Management. The data analyst will be assigned projects of varying complexities, such as micro-marketing and financial analytics for customer profiling, segmentation of customer base, choosing the best predictors and predictive customer retention model. Responsible for identifying and recommending data points in order to test hypothesis.--
