Title: QA Mobile Applications Tester. 

Location: Oakland, California

Start Date: ASAP

This is a full time position

 Summary of Functions: Must have experience in wireless testing wireless handset applications, middle-tier-ware, and Web-based GUI's being developed for the commercial mobile location product space.  Will work closely with functional analysts, development staff, and end users to fully understand product requirements and to deliver quality products.

 Experience with BREW, Windows Mobile, RIM, and/or Android handset device testing. (mandatory)

• Experience with database management systems (Oracle, MySQL, etc). (mandatory)

 Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Active participation in review of software life cycle deliverables, including functional specification and design documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements and to software quality best practices.
• Develop and execute automated and manual tests.
• Execute a variety of product test suites such as functional, regression, end-to-end, performance, and load tests.
• Execute test cases for wireless handset drivers, API's, and applications.
• Follow corporate policies and procedures.
• Generate Test Strategy and Test Plan documentation.
• May also be involved in testing web-based GUIs, Unix batch processing environments, and a wide variety of SQL query-based reports and data presentation applications.
• Primary responsibility will be mobile handset device testing.
• SQL query results verification, Unix shell scripting and test case execution.

 Knowledge & Skills:

• Display high level of self-motivation.

• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience developing and executing test scripts for telephony applications.
• Experience with BREW, Windows Mobile, RIM, and/or Android handset device testing.
• Experience with database management systems (Oracle, MySQL, etc).
• Experience with Location Based services and/or applications.
• Experience with working in Linux/Solaris operating systems.
• Flexible and able to adapt to the changing priorities and work under pressure.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Unix and SQL processing environments.
• Quality orientation with a strong eye for detail.
• Solid test methodology skills and practices.
