LOCAL TO CHICAGOLAND AREA
Overview:
The Oracle DBA will be responsible for Oracle DBA with Extensive data modeling and design experience (OLTP). Consultant must be able to perform typical day to day DBA activities and database guidance. Looking for someone with hands on DBA experience with Oracle 10g, particularly in dimensional physical data modeling.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. Must have Minimum 3-5 yrs experience, Oracle 10g/11g server and related databases.
a. Extensive data modeling and design experience (OLTP)
b. Dimensional data modeling and design experience (OLAP, specifically taking logical to physical)
c. Dimensional physical data model implementation and tuning experience (enterprise data warehouse/data mart)
2. Must have previous exp installing, upgrading, and maintaining, monitoring, patching & tuning of Oracle dimensional physical data model capabilities such as :
a. HEAVY PERFORMANCE /System Tuning (Stats, database instance, indexes, parallelism, other DB parameters)
b. Creating/Maintaining stored procedures
c. Capacity Planning, Process Transition Planning, Query Optimization
d. Database tuning and database troubleshooting.
3. Insurance industry (or Financial Services industry) experience a plus
4. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator
6. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
