Title : SAS Statistician/ Modeler 2

RESPONSIBILITIES
Regularly analyze the performance of fraud detection model and prepare score performance reports
Conduct statistical analyses on transaction data to extract insights, marketing message and to develop predictive variables for fraud detection models
Build logistic or decision tree binary predictive models, test/validate models and present results to non-technical audience
Monitor risk model in production and calibrate score distribution periodically
Optimize fraud strategies per client's requests; systematically generate decision rules with advanced statistical tools
Support sales and marketing of analytic products with sound statistical analysis and business focus
Process terabyte data for modeling, including data cleanse, quality assurance, integrity check and matching/merging data from different sources.
Develop ways to efficiently and effectively audit data used in model development and from production, at ad-hoc or ongoing basis.
REQUIREMENTS
§Graduate degree in a quantitative subject such as statistics, mathematics, management sciences, economics, engineering, or operations research
2 years experience with MySQL programming and Excel Pivot table generation
Minimal 6 years hands-on SAS experience in Unix environment and proficient in Unix shell scripts; familiar with SAS ODS
Must be detail-focused and have business oriented thinking
Minimal 6 years experience in statistic analysis and 4 years in predictive modeling, preferable in banking industry
Record of excellence in timely delivery and effective problem solving
Excellent business writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
Proven ability of independently working on multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and swiftly mastering extensive domain knowledge
Monitor and validate risk model performance and investigate issues
Knowledge XML, or credit/debit card transaction processing and predictive modeling is a plus
