Role: Lead Java Developer and Sr. Java Developers

Location: New York

Duration: 6 months

Rate: $50-55/hr

 

3 positions; 1 is for technical lead, the others for developers. For the lead role they need the oracle, for the development role it's not necessary but it would be nice. The job description below is a blend for both roles.

 

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities are the Analysis, Design, Development and Testing of the Server and Methodology modules of risk-management applications. This is a hands-on job and includes development. Experience in financial industry and risk management is required. Duration of this assignment is expected to continue for 6+ months.

Responsibilities:
* Select systems approaches and develop the primary study which involves fact gathering, evaluation, software tools and analysis of respective problems.
* Work with business analysts to produce functional specifications.
* Design data flow, components, classes, test procedures, implementation processes.
* Manage a group of application programmers.
* Develop project plans and system studies. Develop flow charts and necessary documents to establish needs and deadlines.
* To formulate the systems analysis, establish the program specifications. Also, analyze reports, report usage required, design files, forms, reports, clerical procedures, and systems manual.
* Organize systems testing and post implementation audits.

Requirements:
* 10+ years experience in programming with an O-O language such as Java or C++.
* Strong object-oriented design and programming skills.
* 5+ years experience in Java.
* Experience with JSP, XSLT, J2EE, XML.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Experience with project management, version control, source-code control and issues-tracking software.
* Familiarity with distributed technologies such as HTTP, Web servers, JSP, EJB and XML.
* Extensive experience in GUI development.
* Experience with web technology.
* Experience with PL/SQL and a relational database.
* Experience developing business logic.
* Bachelors degree or equivalent.
