Product Specialist needed in Foster City

The main function of a Product Specialist is to provide product management support for web-based applications for reporting, expense management and card program compliance management. More tactical role.
candidates w/ specific product management experience. The product they are looking for will deal w/ credit/ debit cards or payment processing.

Education/Experience
• Bachelor degree in business administration or a related field.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide consulting services and product support in the definition of a product road map and strategy
• Assist with product roadmap development and tracking against it
• Assist with product documentation, user acceptance testing and review, marketing collateral development, competitive analysis and feature and fact sheet development
• Work closely with business and regional representatives to ensure effective two-way communications regarding collection of global business requirements and communication of key product decisions, plans, and functional releases.
• Provide core product documentation and guidance to other teams which produce marketing, implementation, training, and support materials.
• Drive requirements prioritization and tracking. Elaborate business requirements for the product roadmap.
• Communicate business requirements to technical teams and external vendors for creation of functional and technical requirements. Validate accuracy of functional and technical requirements documents.
• Provide core product documentation and guidance to other teams which produce marketing, implementation, training, and support materials.
• Communicate with internal support and sales teams to educate, gather customer feedback and resolve product issues.

Skills
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills (Required)
• Ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required)
• Experience in product/project management or product development in the financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services (Typically Required)
• Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel, Visio (nice to have) etc. (Required)
